Wednesday, June 22, they started the chemo treatment. He will receive chemo drugs for 7 days. 3 days, he will receive 2 different chemo drugs and 4 days he will receive just one drug. He will have to remain in the hospital for 30-35 days. They said about the 14th day he will be very sick because he will have no immune system at all and be unable to fight any kind of infections. Hopefully after 14 days his body will start building good cells aided by transfusions.
Our prayer is that this will kill all the leukemia cells.
But we are still in good spirits. We laugh and joke sometimes. Sometimes there are tears, but God is good whatever He chooses!
The doctor said he would lose all of his hair. I'm trying to talk him into a "Head Shaving Party".
