Psalm 55:6
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
If I Could Fly Away
If I could fly away and be at rest
And didn't have to face life's tests.
To another time or another place
Where the sun shone bright upon my face.
Where there was treasure at the end of the rainbow
And I could sing "Jesus Loves Me, This I know".
When wishes I made on stars came true
And even through clouds the sky was blue.
Where there was laughter instead of tears
And peace and joy outweighed the fears.
Where I felt God's love each and every day
If only I had wings and could fly away.

Sometimes we are so overwhemed with what we have ahead of us. We have to admit there's a lot of fear sometimes, even when you try to trust the Lord with all our heart.
We have been through a lot in our 44 years of marriage and I try to remember all the times that God brought us through the rough times. There were so many times that we didn't understand what God was doing in our lives and I wanted to tell Him that we didn't want to go through any more trials. Even now, it's hard to understand His plan for us. But we know He's Already in Our Tomorrow and we're going to keep pressing on.
We had some news we really didn't want to hear late this afternoon. The doctor called with the results of the bone marrow biopsy. He said Jerry would not be a candidate for the bone marrow/stem cell transplant. His leukemia is already been so aggressive, the chemo has not been as effective as expected. At this time Jerry will not being going into the hospital for more chemotherapy. We have an appointment Monday with a new oncologist and with our regular oncologist Friday for them to formulate a treatment option at this point. We know that God is still a good God whatever He may choose to do. Please continue praying for us.

In His Hands.....
I am not usually up at this hour and certainly not on the computer. I was getting ready to shut it down for the night and decided to check your blog. I cannot imagine what you are going through but i know God does. I shared a song with Debbie Brown earlier today called "Even in the Valley God Is Good" I hope you know the song or can find the music. I think it will be a blessing and a comfort to you.

ReplyDeletePat and Jerry,
ReplyDeleteWe know you have ministered to people in this same predicament. I'm certain you told them to keep the faith and to know that God has not abandoned them. Dale and I send you this same message. God loves you and we do too.
Mr and Mrs Rice,
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for you and your situation. We know that God is in total control. We are praying that you will receive God's grace and that God will meet your needs. This is a very difficult time and we want you all to know that we pray for you daily and you all are always in our thoughts and prayers.
We love you!

Don't give up . . . . . God gives the strength and grace. Reach high as we are in asking for a miracle. We know GOD can. Miss you and love you.
